Private Security for Homes Terms of Use

Welcome to Security Guard Group’s Community Patrol Services. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our subscription and on-demand security services, available through our website, mobile app, and customer platform. By subscribing to any of our plans or purchasing one-time services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Service Overview

Security Guard Group provides mobile security patrol services to residential customers within London, Ontario. Services include, but are not limited to:

Scheduled patrols
Alarm response
Welfare checks
On-call dispatch availability
Vacation watch services

All services are performed by licensed security professionals. Service availability is limited to geographic areas we operate in. Currently, services are only available within the City of London, Ontario.

Subscription Plans

We offer several monthly subscription tiers, each with defined inclusions and limits:

On-Call Access – Standby access only; response fees apply per use
Basic Patrol – 1 nightly exterior patrol; no alarm response included
Patrol + Alarm Response – Includes up to 4 alarm responses per month
Patrol + Alarm Response + Welfare Checks – Includes up to 4 alarm responses and up to 4 welfare checks per month

All subscription services:

Are billed monthly via Stripe
Require a valid payment card to activate
Include a 7-day free trial (card required)
Are non-transferable
May be upgraded or downgraded at any time

Add-On / Pay-As-You-Go Services

Customers with a valid subscription may purchase additional one-time services, such as:

Additional Patrol – $19.99
Additional Welfare Check – $29.99
Urgent Alarm Response – $49.99

Add-on services are billed immediately upon request and are non-refundable once fulfilled.

Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Your service will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle.
No refunds will be issued for partial periods unless:

Security Guard Group is unable to deliver the service for reasons within our control.

Response Expectations & Limitations

We strive to respond to all patrol requests and alarms as soon as we are notified, however:

No guaranteed response times are provided.
Delays may occur due to weather, road closures, emergencies, or high call volume.
Security Guard Group is not liable for damages or losses resulting from delays or the inability to respond.
Clients are responsible for keeping their contact and address information accurate and up to date in the portal.

Use of Services

By using our services, you agree to:

Not misuse our guards for tasks outside scope (e.g., confrontations, civil disputes)
Only request services at your property or an authorized location
Provide access as needed (e.g., unlocked gates for welfare checks)

We reserve the right to suspend or cancel services without refund if clients are abusive, violate terms, or repeatedly misuse dispatch.

Eligibility

Services are intended for individuals aged 18 years or older who own or reside at the serviced property. Use by minors is not permitted.

Chances to Services or Pricing

Security Guard Group reserves the right to modify or discontinue services, subscription tiers, or pricing with reasonable notice via email or the website.

Limitation of Liability

Security Guard Group is not liable for:

Theft, break-ins, or damages occurring before, during, or after patrol visits
Alarm response outcomes where no threat is found
False alarms or cancellations outside of our control

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of Ontario.

Privacy

Use of our services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how your personal and location data is collected and used. Click here to access.
