ONLINE ONTARIO SECURITY GUARD LICENSE COURSE
In order to write the Ontario Provincial Exam, you must complete 40 hours course that is specifically designed for prospective security guards in Ontario. 6.5 hours of the course is dedicated for Emergency First Aid Training, and the 33.5 hours course must be instructor led.
ABOUT THIS COURSE
Security Guard Group does not offer Emergency First Aid Training, and the offered course is only 33.5 hours long. You should obtain your Emergency First Aid Certification through a ministry approved provider before you purchase this course. You can find a list of all the approved providers by CLICKING HERE.
After you purchase this course, your login credentials will be emailed to you with your invoice. You will have 31 days to complete the online course. At the end of the course, you will be required to submit additional personal information such as your date of birth, gender, and home address. This information is required by the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services.

Online Ontario Security Guard License Course

After the completion of the course, we will request a digital copy of your Emergency First Aid Training. Once we receive a copy of your Emergency First Aid Certification, we will submit your information to Serco and provide you with Training Completion Number (TCN) which is generated by Serco. After you receive your TCN, you will be able to book a testing date. You can CLICK HERE to book a test.

Security Guard Group does not have an official relationship with FirstAid4u.ca and any related questions regarding First Aid certification should be directed to FirstAid4u.ca. This is because 6.5 hours of the course is dedicated for your Emergency First Aid Certification. Since we do not offer this course, you will be required to obtain this certification elsewhere.

What is the process to obtain a Security Guard license in Ontario?
To oversimplify, meet the basic licensing conditions mentioned above, pass the licensing exam which is administered by Serco Canada, and apply for the license. You can learn more about the process on Service Ontario website.
If I did not complete the course within 31 days, will I lose my progress?
No, we usually keep your account inactive for 14 days before deleting it. However, we will send an Account Deletion Notification 7 days before we actually delete the account.
