Yes. All security guard positions require a valid Ontario security guard licence before you can begin working.

• A valid Ontario security guard licence

• Government-issued identification

• Proof of eligibility to work in Canada

• First Aid and CPR certification

• A driver’s licence and driver’s abstract for mobile patrol positions

• Any additional certificates listed in the job posting

Not for every position. Some entry-level roles are available to newly licensed guards. Other assignments may require previous experience in residential, industrial, healthcare, mobile patrol, concierge, access control, or similar environments.

Pay rates vary based on the position, location, required qualifications, schedule, level of responsibility, and client contract. The applicable wage will be shown in the job posting. All our job postings will have the hourly pay rate.

Yes. Security Guard Group recruits for full-time, part-time, casual, temporary, and on-call positions depending on operational requirements.

A vehicle is not required for every position. However, reliable transportation may be necessary for sites that are not accessible by public transit. Mobile patrol positions normally require a valid driver’s licence and acceptable driving record.

Yes, of course. We provide professional uniforms for free.

Site-specific orientation, training and post-order training are provided for all positions. Applicants are still responsible for maintaining the licences and certifications required for the role. All our training hours are paid.
