  • Here are the steps to start your licensing process in the Province of Ontario:

    1- MEET THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

    • Be 18 years of age or older
    • Have a clean criminal record
    • Can legally work in Canada

    2- GET YOUR FIRST AID CERTIFICATION

    This certificate is required and it must be obtained from a WSIB Approved provider. Our First Classes meet this requirement and you will receive the official certificate from the Canadian Red Cross.

    First Aid Cost: $119.00 + HST [must be renewed every 3-5 years]

    3- TAKE OUR ONLINE TRAINING

    Purchase this security guard course and utilize our online platform to complete it at your own convinience.

    Security Guard Course Cost: $59.99 + HST [one time fee]

    4- TAKE THE MINISTRY EXAM

    The ministry exam is done by Serco Canada (Drive Test Centers). It can also be completed online.

    Exam Cost: $60.50 [one time fee]

    5- SUBMIT ONTARIO LICENSE APPLICATION

    This is the final step to become a licensed security guard in Ontario.

    Application Fee: $80.00 [must be renewed every two years]
