How long is this course?This course is 33.5 hours long.

The Ministry of the Solicitor General requires 40 training hours, why is this course only 33.5 hours long?"This is because 6.5 hours of the course is dedicated for your Emergency First Aid Certification. Since we do not offer this course, you will be required to obtain this certification elsewhere.

Can I complete this course at my own pace?Yes! This is an online course and our platform is compatible with computer browsers, smartphone and tablet devices. We even have a compatible smartphone app for it. Additionally, you can complete the course any time of the day, there are no restrictions.

How to obtain my Emergency First Aid Certification?You can complete your Emergency First Aid certification either through St. John Ambulance or through a WSIB approved service provider. You can find a list of all the approved training entities by clicking here.

Where can I obtain my First Aid Certification?That is up to you, as long as you obtain it from an approved WSIB provider. We recommend FirstAid4u.ca as they offer their services across Ontario.

I already have my First Aid certification, is this a problem?"Great! As long as it was provided by an approved training entity, then go ahead and purchase the course.

What are the basic licensing conditions in Ontario?1- Be 18 years of age or older 2- Must be eligible to work in Canada 3- Must have a clean criminal record 4- Complete Basic Security Guard Training course by an approved service provider

What is the process to obtain a Security Guard license in Ontario?To oversimplify, meet the basic licensing conditions mentioned above, pass the licensing exam which is administered by Serco Canada, and apply for the license. You can learn more about the process on Service Ontario website.

If I did not complete the course within 31 days, will I lose my progress?"No, we usually keep your account inactive for 14 days before deleting it. However, we will send an Account Deletion Notification 7 days before we actually delete the account.
